Plagiarism and AI Usage Policy
The Journal of Computer Technology and Software (JCTS) is committed to upholding the highest standards of academic integrity, originality, and ethical publishing. All submissions must be original works, and any use of artificial intelligence (AI) tools must be transparent and properly disclosed.
Plagiarism Policy
Plagiarism in any form is strictly prohibited. This includes, but is not limited to:
• Copying text, ideas, images, or data without proper attribution
• Reproducing substantial portions of previously published work without permission
• Self-plagiarism (reuse of one’s own prior work without appropriate citation)
• Improper paraphrasing or uncredited use of others’ intellectual contributions
All manuscripts are screened using plagiarism detection tools. As a general guideline:
• Similarity below 15%: acceptable
• 15%–30%: subject to editorial evaluation
• Above 30%: may result in rejection
These thresholds are indicative and may vary depending on the nature of the manuscript.
If plagiarism is identified at any stage, the journal may take actions including rejection, request for revision, notification to affiliated institutions, or retraction of published articles.
AI Usage Policy
JCTS allows the use of AI tools in manuscript preparation, provided that such use is responsible and transparent.
Permitted uses include:
• Language editing and grammar improvement
• Content structuring or summarization
• Data analysis, visualization, or coding assistance
Authors must disclose any use of AI tools in their manuscript, including:
• The name of the tool
• The purpose of use
• The extent of its contribution
AI tools cannot be listed as authors. All authors remain fully responsible for the originality, accuracy, and integrity of the submitted work.
The use of AI must not involve:
• Fabrication or falsification of data
• Generation of misleading or unverifiable content
• Undisclosed AI-generated text or analysis
Failure to disclose AI usage may be considered a violation of publication ethics.
Ethical Responsibility
Authors, reviewers, and editors are expected to adhere to recognized standards of publication ethics. The journal reserves the right to investigate any suspected ethical misconduct and take appropriate action.
JCTS encourages responsible and transparent use of emerging technologies while maintaining strict academic integrity standards.
